CBAP 2020 REGULATION

CBAP is a free aquapaisagism contest, open to the public and enthusiasts, where the various technical and artistic aspects of the submitted aquariums are evaluated through photos.

The registrations must be made through this channel from 07/01/2020 to 08/16/2020.

To be part of this edition you will need to fulfill the following requirements below:

1 – REGISTRATION

Registration must be done through the CBAP website’s own registration form.
Applications by e-mail or any other means will not be accepted.

Registration is free.

The 3 categories of the planted aquarium style are intended only for Brazilians citizens, or foreigners residing in Brazil for more than 2 years.

Each participant may submit in each category only one aquarium made of his own and ownership, totaling three aquariums per registered participant, that is, 1 aquarium in each category of the planted aquarium division.

Non-Brazilians are allowed to enter only one aquarium in the Foreigners Category, regardless of the volume of the aquarium. Participation in this category is forbidden to Brazilian aquascapers.

The veracity of all the information provided is essential and is the full responsibility of the registrants and failure to comply with this determination may result in the participant’s summary disqualification.

The registration period for the 2020 edition begins on 7/1/2020 and ends on 7/31/2020 at 11:59 pm, Brasília official time (GMT-3).

Entries sent after 23:59 on 16/16/2020 will not be accepted.
2 – IMAGES – DIGITAL PHOTOS

2.1 – PHOTO REQUIREMENTS

The registration must fully contain the following requirements regarding digital photos:

It is mandatory a frontal photo where it is possible to view ALL the aquarium. Complementary photos are at the discretion of the registrant, with up to two extra photos being accepted.
The size of the digital file cannot exceed 5MB per photo.
The proper framing of the photos and clipping of objects external to the aquarium for better presentation to the judges will be the participant’s responsibility.
Photos must be submitted without name, signature or any mark identifying the author or its origin, under penalty of disqualification.
The inclusion of a black frame around the subject of the photo will be accepted in order to eliminate other portrayed objects.

Low-resolution photos that make judgment difficult can automatically disqualify the aquarium since the photo is the only means of evaluation.
Effects from image editors are allowed, as long as they do not modify the actual content of the photo. Adjustments of focus, brightness, saturation and color level will be tolerated if used sparingly.
The photo that presents any type of manipulation that substantially alters the quality of the image, adding or removing any element of the subject, or that is used in order to take advantage of or distort the judges’ evaluation will be summarily disqualified, and may, at the discretion of the organization, ban the author of the aquarium indefinitely or even definitively.

2.2 – COUNTER PROOF OF REGISTRATION

In case of doubts to prove suspicions regarding the content of the entries submitted to the Judging Panel, the Organization of the Contest determines that:

The counter-proof in case of image editing must be made by additional images of the aquarium sent by the participant, containing the entire aquarium or details, showing the controversial point and attesting the veracity of the submitted photos.
The Contest Organization reserves the right to accept or not the counter-proof and its decision is irrevocable.
The counter-proof in case of ownership of the assembly must be made by images or documents that attest the ownership or the execution of the layout by the registrant.
The Contest Organization reserves the right to accept or not the counter-proof and its decision is irrevocable.
In case the contest organization does not present a counter or negative, the aquarium is immediately disqualified and measures against the participant will be discussed and applied later.

3 – REGISTRATION DATA

As for the aquarium data;

The information contained in the online registration form must be filled in with all or as much information as possible about the aquarium being represented in the photos.
The inadequate filling or the inaccuracy of the information in the registration form can automatically disqualify the participant.

7 – IMPORTANT CONSIDERATIONS

Never leave to register in the last week, technical problems can occur due to the receipt of an excessive number of registrations and the contest organization will not refund the registrant in any way, if your registration is not made.

The organization of the contest reserves the right not to provide any other details regarding the judgment of the registrants.

Since the only means of proving and visually evaluating the entries is through the photos provided in the participant’s registration act, it is common sense that the photos must be of sufficient quality for verification (see item # 2).

Poor-quality, blurred, stained photos with traces of excessive electronic editing or any other characteristics that prevent their evaluation by the judging panel members will invariably harm or even eliminate the contest’s work. Before sending any information check the veracity of the material being sent, as it will be analyzed by the judging panel of the contest.

The Organization of the Contest may, at any time, ask the registrant for proof of ownership of the aquarium, such as specific photos, sending material by mail, etc. If the ownership of the same is not confirmed, or the use of other people’s photos is confirmed, the aquarium will be automatically disqualified, with its position occupied by the next in order of classification. The insistence on disrespecting the rules of the contest may result in the disqualification of the participant and all his registered aquariums.

The amount related to the freight and the means of receiving the prizes / trophies / ribbons are the responsibility of the winner. The winners will be able to pick up the prize in person at the address chosen by the Organization of the Contest, free of charge, or they will bear the shipping costs.

Registration of old works and / or evolutions of previous assemblies may suffer an effective reduction of points in their evaluation, being the responsibility of each judge.

Aquariums already awarded between the first and tenth places of any category, will not be able to participate in the contest again.

8 – FINAL NOTES

The Competition Organization reserves the right to change the rules and any provisions of this regulation at any time, without prior notice.

Questions and suggestions should be directed to the Organizing Committee, using the contact form.

We hope that everyone can recover with health as soon as possible from this pandemic and we thank everyone for their participation and especially for their collaboration in understanding the changes and changes required in this edition of the contest.

Best regards
