Greetings dear aquascapers

Finally, we completed another one of the numerous stages of CBAP 2020.
With the ending of registrations we can already have a panorama reflected in numbers of what was this year’s edition … A SUCCESS!

With a record number of participants, the real aquascapers understood the importance and the seriousness in participating in a contest so traditional like CBAP, that it is practically mixed with the origin of the Brazilian aquascaping. Everyone who participated in this edition of CBAP learned the lesson that social isolation taught and at this way, valued every second in contact with the beloved aquariums.

This year, with the COVID-19 pandemic, we redefined the concepts of patience, conscience, preservation and solidarity. We learned again, how to communicate and protect ourselves, but the biggest learning without a doubt was the understanding of how much we still have to respect and learn from Nature.

Considering only the numbers of this edition we are doubly surprised.

The number of participants is minuscule when compared to the real potential of Brazilian aquascaping, but giant in the face of the difficulties that our market has experienced, not only this year, but mainly in the last decade.

The participation of foreigner aquascapers in this edition also deserves to be highlighted, corroborating and attesting unquestionably the relevance and the representativeness of this contest in the world scene. And we are very grateful to all friends from overseas.

CBAP 2020 can already be considered epic, as this great participation in such a difficult year is the answer for those who believed in the greater purpose of the contests, which is to unite, not divide.

Congratulations to all participants, because they opted for positivism, hope, healing through the contemplation of nature and today, they are part of another victorious chapter in Brazilian aquascaping history.

Now we have to wait for the work of our valued judges to discover the results of each category.

Good luck to everyone and may this positive energy reach those who live around us and especially those who were unable to participate in this year’s edition. For them, we already invited, so that they become part of our conscious, mature community that values collective well-being and Nature.

This very unique year taught us how overcoming obstacles and brought hopes of better times.

Big hug

André Longarço
